"No. I enjoy mocking those who dare think me powerless." "By marking your face with the very term you so despise?" "It is the best way. Most who see me, think that it was some cruel jest played on me by another of power. They look at the symbol with humor and disgust, never suspecting that what lies beneath could come after them with such subtlety, it would be like being slayed by the wind." She ran a pale finger, idlely, down the black marking. "Besides, I am not ashamed of what my parents were or theirs before them. I honor them by sharing a little of their pain. They died for being this. A Shade, without presence, without essence, so it is said. They had more presence than any of those Fae who tormented them, and I plan to teach that to anyone who ever questions it." A quick pencil drawing of Elekcis that I did yesterday. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
